Plot: A high school senior is the star athlete of his school, but hides the beatings his father gives both and his mother, leading to tragedy, and later to healing. Special Elements: A tragic instance of domestic violence rocked the small town of Fountain, Colorado, just as students were preparing to choose the theme for their radio drama. Counselors and other experts in the field of domestic abuse and alcoholism visited class and were interviewed by students during script preparation. The completed show was performed for students and local citizens in the theatre at the Fountain-Ft. Carson High School theatre.
